You can see the result of this mixture during the performance of the Ukrainian quintet “Argentum” with the duet of jazzmen from Germany, Chester Harlan and Franz Bauer. The project is being implemented with the support of the Consulate of Germany in Ukraine. On July 21, on the main stage of the festival you will be invited to listen to a well-known and unknown, but always bright and passionate melodies of the King of the Argentine tango Astor Piazzolla.
The “Argentum” Quintet is a popular creative name on the Ukrainian music map. The group includes well-known Ukrainian musicians with a great creative biography.
Eugene Kostrytsky (violin) is the winner of the international competitions named after Pierre Lantheus in France and J. Heifetz in Russia, recognized musician of the year 2005 in London, concert violinist and invited concertmaster of orchestras in Ukraine and Italy.
Timur Polyansky (piano) – jazz pianist-improviser, Merited Artist of Ukraine.
Professor Ivan Bykov (accordion) – laureate of international competitions in Ukraine, Italy and Poland.
Vyacheslav Kurchinitsky (guitar) is a musician-multi instrumentalist who acts as a guest musician with leading musical groups of Ukraine, including the group of Svyatoslav Vakarchuk “Ocean Elzy”.
Volodymyr Grechuk (double bass) is the first contrabass soloist of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine.
The person who united all the musicians in the new group is the art director of the quintet, People’s Artist of Ukraine conductor Dmitry Logvin.
